THE LEAST MOVEMENT IS OF IMPORTANCE TO ALL NATURE. THE ENTIRE OCEAN IS AFFECTED BY A PEBBLE.   BLAISE PASCAL

Over the years too many pebbles have been thrown into the ocean, diminishing our natural resources, scourging the flora and fauna, leaving less and less for next generations. And such devastating pebbles are still being thrown.

Considering nature as part of his own and his offspring’s existence and thus driven by a selfish interest in nature conservation, Huibert Boumeester set up the mr. H.G. Boumeester foundation in 2005. Fully endorsing the opinion that the least movement is of importance to all nature, this foundation aims to assist those ‘pebbles’ that are conducive to providing nature conservation benefits. It therefore supports initiatives that focus on nature conservation and sustainable issues and which seek long-term solutions to environmental problems.

The mr. H.G. Boumeester foundation, named after one of its founder's ancestors and registered in the Netherlands, is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Trustees, who all share an interest in nature conservation, assess the applications. In this they are guided by criteria that have been set down after ample consideration.
